Dr. Craig Lum answered

Potential clots: In view of your weight and size, you are at risk for blood clots. However, measures are generally done to try and decrease the chances for clots to happen during your operation. Remember, after your operation, don't stay in bed a lot. Get up, walk, and use the sequential compression devices on your legs. By doing this, you can improve your chances of not developing clots.
