Trauma or a viral source could be the problem, and would be negative for bacteria. See a urologist to be sure that this is really epididymitis and not something such as a varicocele.

It can be caused by many things-if that is the proper diagnosis. Pl see a Urologist. In the meantime if you have pain take Ibuprofen and wear a good support underwear. good luck
