I have had lifelong borderline hypotonia or low muscle tone. it runs in my family. i inherited it from my paternal side as did my siblings. i started ritalin for adhd and it normalised my muscle tone. what could be happening? i want an alternative?

If I understand you correctly you prefer a low muscle tone. Ritalin has more musculoskeletal side effects than Adderall so you can request your doctor for a trial.
