Randomly i get a cough, physically itchy throat, weird itchy spot on my back (center upper area). i dont know if its gerd or asthma. sometimes it happens when i lie down and sometimes it comes out of no where. what is the cause?

An occasional dry cough may occur due to irritation of the airway. GERD is a common cause, and an over the counter medication is often effective. Avoid smoke exposure, allergic triggers such as dust and mold. Keep well hydrated and avoid dry cold conditions. Keep a log of symptoms, monitor temperature and breathing.
