Need evaluation: The description is entirely consistent with asthma exacerbation, despite poor response to (albuterol?) the previous night. This should be evaluated promptly a) to rule out alternative possibilities and b) to initiate appropriate therapy. Home peak flow monitoring and an asthma action plan are tools used for situations such as this (discuss with your doctor).

Mgt: I would recommend a review of your asthma action plan and detailed medical history.
It sounds like your asthma is not well controlled.
