Gastric=stomach. Atrophied means thinned tissue that is withered/weak in tissue functions. So A. Gastritis is stomach tissue that is inflamed & absent good gland function (making protective mucous and hydrochloride acid to digest food). This abnormal stomach lining can be due to B-12 vitamin deficiency and/or inability to absorb Vitamin b-12; can also cause anemia. Blood test proves See GI Doctor.
