Just had an upper endoscopy. they found mild gastric mucosal atrophy. is that only caused by h. pylori or can autoimmune gastritis cause it too? is that confirmation of aag? thank you?

Biopsy for H pylori is usually done during endoscopy If it is autoimmune your B12 may be low as well . Was that assessed? Were antibodies to intrinsic factor checked? Do others in the family have a similar issues? F/u/ gastroenterologist
