A member asked:

Hello i wanted to ask about the p53 staining, i did a bone marrow biopsy and it turned out negative for mutations. it said that i have rare cells cd34+, with strong p53 stain. i dont know how to interpret this please ive recently had bm transplant?

One has to be an expert in bone marrow pathology and oncology to answer your question. My understanding is that both nonmalignant and malignant cells may stain positive with p53,at least with flow cytometry.
