A member asked:

My husband was in an accident and hit an embankment. he was taken to er, they said he had a mild reversal of cervical lordosis, mild disc space narrowing at c4-c5, and mild anterior degenerative end changes at c5- c6. can this be caused by accident?

Muscle strain/pain from the accident can cause a temporary reversal of the normal neck alignment (lordosis). Disk narrowing might be from the accident. Degenerative means age related unless their is a bone disorder.

Reversal of cervical lordosis may be due to spasm. The rest are pre-existing conditions
