Two weeks ago i was at er w/ pyelonephritis (blood in urine, flu like symptoms, extreme flank pain). given iv abx & oral bactrim finished 9 days ago. pain is improving but i see increasing amounts of black flecks in urine. urinalysis clean. concerns?

Proper treatment of acute pyelonephritis is for at least 2 weeks and seldom with Bactrim. you could have had renal colic and might be passing gravel. It is strange that your urinalysis is normal while passing 'flakes'. suggest you see a urologist. In the meantime drink plenty of water
