Partially: Very possible that a low grade infection caused the initial symptoms, then became full blown pyelonephritis , which requires initial IV antibiotics and long term treatment (at lest 3-4 weeks). Then need urologic evaluation to look for anatomic abnormalities for stones, masses, etc. That may be contributing.
