I recently had a pilonidal cyst drained and about 4 days later it became infected and i had it drained again. the doctor sent me home with an open wound and told me wait 2 days to shower. im not sure how to approach cleaning the wound safely?

I would just irrigate it with water 2xaday and keep covered with a bandage. Take pictures as it gets better. Healing is amazing.
