No: You are talking about hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, correct? Glad it was detected; when missed it is a risk for sudden death especially in athletes. This ranges from very severe to very mild. For severe cases, surgery or alcohol ablation may be offered for "cure" and can work wonders. You'd much prefer medical management you have mild disease -- that's the paradox.
