How do i get rid of my cough? i've had the flu this week and now have a really bad cough. i can't sleep because of it. i'm taking cough drops, ibuprofen, and dayquil, but nothing helps. please help me. i hate this so much and i'm so depressed?

You need a higher dose of dextromethorphan for effective cough suppression than the amount of dextromethorphan in dayquil. You should buy either mucinex DM maximal strength, taking one tablet or a cheaper product at Rite Aid - Cough DM Cough Syrup with 12 Hour Relief, taking 10 cc before sleep. These medications have 3 times stronger cough suprression effect compared with dayquil.
