Are liver function tests & hepatitis A,BC tests negative? Right upper quadrant pain with an enlarged liver is best evaluated by a gastroenterologist to order any other appropriate testing including CT scan, MRI & liver biopsy. Since no common bile duct dilatation is described, an ERCP may not be advocated as yet. Consultation with an abdominal surgeon may be recommended depending upon results.
