I had my test results today and the findings are mitral mildly thickened leaflets. trace mitral valve valve regurgitation.please tell me if this could lead to surgery?

The way the wording is used I feel they consider the findings present but minimal. Surgery is not an obvious choice, since the surgical approach would be to replace the valve. The wording does not suggest an immediate need for any treatment for the findings. Maybe if it worsened a few years or decades in the future, it would be an available option.

Those are abnormal findings but there is no indication for surgery. You should follow with a cardiologist who will monitor this condition, nothing to worry at this present time.
