Whats a way to get a dna test without spending so much money?

Test for what reason? There are several programs like Ancestry that do simple DNA tests that link folks in their family tree without much expense. If you're looking for testing that can be presented to a court, like those for paternity you will pay more for the exacting nature and reliability of the tests when done for those reasons.
