I have heard about dna tests that can indicate, with some degree of certainty, a person's ethnic origins. true? are these tests a waste of money?

Can: They can based on the "dna fingerprint", but does it matter. If you are fan of genealogy, it may be interesting, but otherwise it won't change much.
