A member asked:

During a fnb became disoriented. started throwing up. blood pressure dropped so low worried for my life. lost all bodily function control. pumped in fluids to keep me going and raise bp. veins collapsing made needles be in foot. vagal vagus blamed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exclusion diagnosis: If you were having a fine needle biopsy (FNB ?) there are a number of reasons why your blood pressure dropped to a very low level. If nothing was found after cardiac and neurological evaluation the diagnosis of vaso-vagal reflex response can be mad by exclusion, although it is unusual in a 75 year old with no history of prior fainting.
