Hello. was recently at urgent care and was prescribed clotrimazole for a burning sensation when peeing. uti test negative. i applied cream inside the tip of my penis which i now understand it should just be applied topically. will this cause me harm?

If you have yeast balanitis (yeast infection of the penile glans), clotrimazole cream may be helpful but you only apply the cream of the glans, not inside the urethral opening. If your glans is normal looking, there is no indication for this cream. Burning sensation when voiding can be one of the symptoms of UTI but this sx alone is likely not enough to diagnose UTI especially with (-) urine test.
