My mri report states that i have mild chondromalacia on the lateral tibial plateau on my left knee. what does this mean, what are my recovery options and how long will recovery take? male, 25 years old?

It means that the lateral tibial plateau on the L(tibia) has some decreased cartilage signal suggesting malacia (softening) of the cart. Good for anatomy lesson. Only the Dr who has seen you and the MRI can make help with other questions. Good luck down there. ;-)
