Yes: Dm/htn in a combo will increase the risk of secondary organ damage like renal failure(bp have to be very tightly control), coronary artery disease and heart attack, peripheral nerve damage including autonomic nervous system dysfunction, increase risk of stroke, stomach problems from gastrosparesis, increase risk of peripheral artery disease and increase risk of leg amputations etc.
