Renal colic or pain due to urinary tract stone is self limited which means after hours of pain due to moving or stuck stone, pain will subside. However, that does not mean the stone is already in the bladder or voided out. Sometimes, it takes weeks or months for a stone coming out eventually. Most of the time, you can pass out a 0.5 cm stone naturally. You should use a strainer when voiding.
