Some thing in ear is hurting. When you swallow your Eustachian tube may transmit the swallowing pressure to you ear. Google this and then have someone look in your ear. If it also hurts when you try to pop your ears by holding nose and bearing down like giving birth this is most likely the mechanism. But find out the cause.

That is likely a referred pain which is pain in your throat when you swallow but the pain is felt in the ear. If pain has persisted, you should have your throat checked by your doctor. If you currently have an upper respiratory infection, pain should resolve in days.
