If there no more trauma from a defective tooth, you tongue will on its own. If it is not better in week or so, it would be prudent to see a doctor or dentist.

If your tongue was irritated from a fractured tooth, the lesion should resolve rather quickly after the tooth is properly restored. For future reference, when you type in all caps you are YELLING. No need to type in all caps.

Traumatic lesions, as from a jagged fractured tooth, should fully resolve in 2 weeks after restoring or reshaping the tooth to eliminate then jagged age. If still sore, irritated, swollen, painful after 2 weeks have elapsed see a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon or a specialist Oral Pathologist.
