This is a common practice at the onset of more intense symptoms. Since the drug is metabolized at the lung tissue site & minimal amounts move to the body it is considered very safe. It has no significant effect on their immune system. Kids on conditions that need these meds have the tendency to catch every cold virus that is in the community , treated or not.

More information would be helpful. Singular is an option for viral induced asthma. Allergy testing may be indicated, especially if there is a family history or allergic symptoms. Rinse the mouth after use and a spacer is important in improving delivery of the medication.A virtual consult with Healthtap is available.
