Cephalexin (Keflex) is a perfectly safe antibiotic. IDSA Recommendations: 500 mg orally 3 to 4 times a day. Please treat those infected teeth since antibiotics alone will not resolve your dental issues.

Safe and appropriate. Antibiotics do not cure dental abscesses. Will limit spread of infection until pills run out, then infection will come roaring back. To cure the infection requires immediate root canal treatment/crowns or extractions/implants/crowns. Make sure to follow Dentist's advice. What's not safe is allowing the toxins from infected teeth to spread to other organs.
