I had a tooth filling a wk ago & have cold/hot sensitivity. dentist prescribed keflex & said probably reversible pulpitis. is this how it is treated?

Confusing Treatment: If you are sensitive to hot/cold the filling was probably deep and the nerve in the tooth is alive. Keflex is an antibiotic used to fight bacterial infections. Do you have an infection? It may be reversible pulpitis, which will heal on its own. You don't use antibiotics to treat reversible pulpitis. Have your dentist explain his/her rationale.
