A member asked:

A friend told me they asked their gynecologist for a spinal or epidural for their hysteroscopy. the doctor denied it&said general anesthesia is best for comfort. why is that when you can have a c section under spinal?

I would guess that this has been the experience of the gynecologist. One is messing with more things doing a hysterectomy that when giving birth by C-section would be my guess. But ask the gyne as they can give better analysis based on their experience in folks like you. Then discuss again and work together to make best choice for you.
