If you have tried physiotherapy and medications with no improvement then you may need surgery. But pl see a doc specializing in it. Hope you feel better

You will NOT become “paralyzed” from a ruptured disc in your lower back! If you lack progressive muscle weakness and atrophy or urinary loss of function, best that surgery be avoided. Physical therapy and back exercises can be helpful and disc desiccation with shrinkage can occur over time
