It is extremely rare to have carotid dissection at your age even if you have a direct trauma to your neck because the carotid artery is not hardened at 19 years old. There is no self testing for carotid artery which can only be diagnosed by radiology tests. You should see a doctor for those symptoms if persisted but forget the condition carotid dissection.
