Last night i ate some foods which contain very high levels of salicylates. since then my tinnitus is much worse. i have since read that salicylates can worsen tinnitus. my question is: will this worsening only be temporary or could it be permanent?

I do not think the content of salicylic acid in your dinner foods, whatever they are, will be high enough to cause tinnitus which is a symptom of salicylate overdose. But if it is true, the symptom should be resolving when salicylatic acid level drops.

I take 325 mg aspirin for clotting disorder. I had a toxicology screen done once in hospital and it showed my Salicylate level was undetectable. Not in therapeutic range. Does this mean I am aspirin resistant and I need different anti platelet ?
