Is it ok to eat quinoa and chia after recovering 2 to 4 weeks from diverticulitis?

In the past it was thought that eating seeds caused/aggravated diverticulitis. NOT true. Enjoy

Yes, after recovering from diverticulitis it is reasonable to meet these types of foods. A high fiber diet is useful. Good luck.

I know I'm a dinosaur in this regard but after many years of practice I've had patients tell me that their bouts of diverticulitis occurred after eating foods that contained indigestible fiber particles like popcorn, seeds including quinoa, skins of vegetables & fruits. I recommend avoiding them when you've had acute diverticulitis bouts.
