At your age(especially if you have been a smoker or had high cholesterol) I would suspect you have aortic or iliac or femoral artery atherosclerosis (AKA rust in artery and the narrowing is causing the buzz (called a bruit when heard with a stethoscope);...If you have on listen. You can even try putting your phone over it and see if you or anyone else hears a whoosh with each heart beat.
