A member asked:

I'm taking 150mg of sertraline i was taking diazapam i've weaned off it over a month but i feel dreadful and have headaches . will this settle down. i'm going to take kalms three times a day will this help like diazapam did?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diazepam, like other benzodiazepines, can cause tolerance and addiction. It can have a long withdrawal period, even with weaning off. Valerian root (KALMS active ingredient,) can have interactions with your sertraline (an SSRI,) that might be harmful.Using sertraline together with valerian may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating.
