Can ankylosing spondylitis spread to jaw. would this feel like tooth ache in upper and lower part of the jaw?

The inflammation from AS can cause inflammation of the TMJ resulting in pain and discomfort of the mouth. Difficulty in opening the mouth to brush teeth properly leads to gum disease, cavities and other oral hygiene problems. Make sure you visit your dentist for proper care.

Ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory disease mostly affect lower back, hips, and spine. It does not spread to the jaw. Symptoms include stiffness to lower back and hip, and also stiffness to neck and fatigue. Tooth ache in upper and lower part of the jaw may indicate symptoms of TMJ due to poor occlusion.
