Lymph node: It is likely that the lymph node draining the site of the ulcer enlarges as a normal response to the inflammation. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.

Could be: If lump is on the same side it could be a lymph node reacting to the infection.

Possibly: May be lymph node, acting as a trap for infection. May be as response to cold sore or other sources of infection. Report your concerns to your Dentist. Schedule an appointment to have lump evaluated.
