A member asked:

Would my gp doctor be able to organise a ct scan for me, and send me to an alternative hospital, thats is not my local hospital, as my local hospital is very slow and not very cooperative?

Yes usually your primary care physician can order a CT scan for you. They can usually order it at the hospital of your choice. Very insurance companies have restrictions on which hospital they will pay for CT scans. Recommend checking with your insurance company to see if the hospital is in net work for them.
