I had 2 biopsys since 2016. i have a scar on the bottom left side of my tongue. the scar hits my teeth and causes a sore. its very painful. i try to wear a mouthguard to keep from damaging it more. who can i see to smooth out the scar or remove it?

It would be much easier for you to see a dentist who could round off that edge of the tooth that is irritating your tongue. Additional surgery may worsen the situation. Go for a consult.

If you have an area that is constantly reinsured it requires treatment. Please see your General Dentist for evaluation of your dentition to assure that a damaged tooth or your occlusion is not causing rein jury. See a specialist Oral Surgeon or specialist Oral Pathologist to evaluate your tongue for the necessity of additional treatment.
