2 year old has a sick sister with potential rsv. is it a definite big issue for a 2 year old under 6? or is it just greater odds of bigger issue. 2 year old has no health issues. what precautions if he gets symptoms? odds it get bad?

2 year olds can and do get RSV easily and usually have a mild case, more intense than a simple cold but not as bad as young infants. If they don't have underlying lung problems few (like 1/20) get a worrisome case.

She is susceptible, and good hand washing, wiping surfaces is recommended. A Flu and COVID-19 vaccination are recommended as indicated. Watch for signs of cough, wheezing and flu like symptoms.
