Hand hygiene: Hand hygiene is key. If you are healthy, chance that you can get symptoms similar to a col is possible. Hand washing is key -before and after handling the 6month old and when you get back home- a shower, changing clothes before coming in contact with your little ones.

RSV: Rsv is a very common illness and the very young and elderly are especially vulnerable to complications. In most individuals though RSV is associated with cold symptoms, and in asthmatics may cause wheezing. In younger infants RSV is associated with bronchiolitis, inflammation of the small airways and wheezing. This does not necessarily mean the infant has asthma though, if it is the first episode.

Possibly!: If you get the RSV cold from the baby, then you can transmit it to your kids. Luckily, in older children as yours they will probably just get a severe cold that lasts a week and requires only supportive care. The six month old is the one at risk here, babies are more likely to have breathing trouble and may respond to home neb treatments. Wash your hands! Don't touch your face! Good luck!
