The time frame for results would depend on where the specimen is sent for study. If done in a lab located on site, it would be sooner than if sent by currier to an off-site lab. The doc who arranged the study would have that information. The results come when they are ready, good news or bad.

On routine specimens, such as yours, results should be available in a couple of days. Good or bad news would not make a difference to the time for diagnosis. Wish you good health!
