Simultaneous blood gasses and blood electrolyte tests can verify any respiratory alkalosis. The pattern can drop free calcium levels and result is some odd symptoms like those described. I wouldn't worry about a flight in a pressurized commercial aircraft, but I would check with your doc to be sure.
