Back pain common: I am assuming your took a labor epidural for normal vaginal delivery of your baby. Around 5% or less associated with headache call postural puncture ha. But back pain is very common. Soreness at the site of injection should improved after 1 week. Longer pain is probably multifactorial. Lithotomy position and delivering cause stretching of tissues and ligaments of the back and pelvis.

Thanks for asking!: Most back pain goes away in several days or weeks. Chronic back pain from an epidural is extremely uncommon.
