I got a strep and got treated already but i still feel my throat inflamed and neck feels stiff too after the medication. i also still struggle to speak well from it. is there a chance the strep might've stayed?

We never say never in medicine. However, your symptoms may well be the co-infection with a virus that is common in some cases. Mono is the most intense of these agents but there are others. If your symptoms interfere with your daily life, contact your doc for guidance.
