Blood pressure meds work on the general body dynamics to stabilize/lower blood pressure. Stress can create a different setting where the bodies strass chemicals like adrenalin will elevate the blood pressure beyond that seen when the person is not stressed. Constant stress may require a change in medication to keep the blood pressure in a good range.
