Does blood pressure medication work even if you're stressed?

It is possible if you are stressed that your blood pressure will be higher than it typically is even after taking your blood pressure medicine. The medicine will still lower your blood pressure even if the pressure is higher to begin with. But, it may not be able to lower it to the same range that your blood pressure typically runs. You can take your blood pressure at home with a home monitor.
