If you're anxious 24/7 and you have high blood pressure will your blood pressure pills still work even if you're stressed?

If your blood pressure is higher to begin with due to anxiety, it may take higher doses of medications to get your blood pressure to goal. Another option is to have the anxiety treated so that your blood pressure is closer to goal to begin with and the blood pressure medication doses can be less. Your doctor or a psychiatrist can treat your anxiety. Good luck!
