A member asked:

Allie has a history of seasonal allergic rhinitis with rhinorrhea, itching throat, watery eyes, and sneezing. she has been taking the same antihistamines for several years, but this year the regimen does not seem to be working as well. 1. what do yo?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

My go to treatment with the cited history would be a nasal steroid spray. Many are available now over the counter although they were prescription only for more than a decade. Sometimes a long-acting antihistamine from a different antihistamine family will work better.
