Without imaging (scans) it will be impossible to rule out subdural hematoma, agree that based on symptoms only diagnosis can be delayed.

Closed head trauma is very common but subdural hematomas are relatively rather unusual. Ignore the literature as these studies are not reports of common events. See your doctor and get exam. Would not see need for you having MRI based on your history
